Known for developing and publishing the Sniper Elite, Rogue Troopers, Evil Genius series and dozens of other hit titles, Oxford-based studio Rebellion Developments is preparing a new game set for release on March 27, 2025. A 15-minute gameplay video reveals new information about the project.
Radioactive contamination of English lawns
Players are offered the freedom to explore a hazardous exclusion zone five years after a major nuclear catastrophe. The setting resembles S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but in a distinctly British environment. Pre-orders are now open on Steam.
Players who pre-order the game will receive the following bonuses:
- exclusive melee weapon;
- extra stashes with useful survival loot;
- blueprints for unique equipment;
- a starter pack of essential resources.
Buyers of the full Delux version will get:
- access to the game 3 days earlier;
- all future story expansions at no additional cost;
- an upgraded pack of valuable supplies.

Crafting and character development
The gameplay footage showcases various mechanics for creating weapons and useful items. The dark environments are filled with:
- dangerous mutants;
- friendly and hostile survivor factions;
- aggressive gangs;
- militarized organizations trying to take control;
- environmental and other threats.
Every decision in Atomfall has consequences. Recipes for crafting can be found during exploration, earned through helping characters, or purchased from traders.
As the story progresses, crafting skills improve, unlocking access to more complex tools, resources, and equipment — like Molotov cocktails, grenades, and metal detectors.
Character development is divided into four branches: firearms, melee combat, adaptation, and endurance. Health indicators such as heartbeat, radiation dose, and fatigue must be constantly monitored.
