The Axie Infinity NFT project team has announced major changes to the game’s virtual world. Gameplay mechanics have been improved, bugs fixed, and a new feature has been added allowing players to acquire and use ancient collectible coins. Cosmetic changes have also affected the user interface and leaderboard.
Game Overview
Axie Infinity is a multi-platform economic online simulator of virtual farming with elements of battle and lifestyle strategy. The game uses special in-game tokens called SLP, based on the Ethereum blockchain.
Created and supported by the Sky Mavis studio, the project is built on a business model that allows community members to earn real-world income by contributing to the development of the virtual world.
It features a competitive idle combat system typical of tactical multiplayer games. The core gameplay revolves around collecting unique creatures known as Axies. They can be used for:
- farming tasks;
- breeding to generate profit and increase financial standing;
- constructing buildings;
- exploring the surrounding ecosystem;
- participating in tournaments.
Players can gather, craft, sell, and trade resources. SLP tokens can be withdrawn every two weeks. Each creature has unique attributes, abilities, and action stats.

New Earning Opportunities After the Update
The game takes place in a fictional world called Lunacia. Each player can purchase a plot of land to search for resources, grow crops, and build structures.
Daily quests are offered as a way to earn income. After the update, the number of levels required to earn 25 SLP has increased to ten. The adventure mode can yield up to 50 tokens.
Another way to earn is by participating in arena battles using tamed creatures. The income depends on player success, leaderboard position, and the stats of their Axies.
