The catalog of subscription-based games in Xbox Game Pass continues to grow. Since the beginning of the year, 18 new titles of various genres, system requirements, and publishers have been added. The latest update to Microsoft’s cloud service took place in the early days of spring.
Availability and Subscription Cost
Currently, the online platform brings together more than 25 million gamers from 86 countries — covering virtually all of Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia, North and South America. Microsoft has announced plans to expand the geographical reach of the cloud service and sign agreements with new game publishers.
The monthly subscription price remains unchanged. It still costs $9.99 USD for owners of Xbox consoles and personal computers. Ultimate account holders, for $14.99 USD, receive additional benefits, including:
- Exclusive discounts on new games
- Free six-month access to the Spotify streaming service for new users
- Access to the Xbox Live Gold multiplayer gaming network, which supports console multiplayer
- Special gifts and promotional offers
Microsoft also announced the extension of its existing partnership agreements with EA Play — the cloud gaming service developed and managed by California-based game publisher Electronic Arts.

Library Expansion
The list of games available to all subscription tiers has been expanded with Lovely Mountains: Snow Riders, a cross-platform arcade skiing simulator. Following the March update, Gigantis: Rampage Edition — an enhanced re-release of the 2017 hero shooter — was added to the cloud library.
Other newly available titles include:
- Flock, an engaging multiplayer experience centered around collecting bizarre flying creatures
- Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, a fast-paced action game blended with tower defense elements in a traditional Japanese style, developed by Capcom
- Starbound, a 2D sandbox with a vast procedurally generated world, from UK-based studio Chucklefish
- Eternal Strands, a dynamic first-person adventure focused on uncovering the remnants of a lost civilization
Backward compatibility with Xbox 360 titles has been extended. As of March, users receive a 20% discount on pre-orders of upcoming titles and 10% off the purchase of additional content. Microsoft also promises improved cloud streaming speeds for 4K gaming.
